Simulated Cutting for the Mixed Forest of Pinus massoniana and Broadleaved Tree Species Based on Optimized Spatial Structure

  • The spatial structure parameters were applied to select the trees to be cut,to set the basic principles for determining the trees to be cut,and to establish the optimized scheme for forest spatial structure by taking the uniform angle index as the main regulating objective. The structural unit of selective cutting was primarily selected, the trees to be cut were selected based on the comprehensive analysis, and the stand spatial structure after cutting was analyzed. The results showed that the whole stand quality was improved after the cutting because of the optimization of stand spatial structure, and this type of stand spatial structure optimization was suitable for ecological forest management.
