Overall Benefit Evaluation on Six Management Models of‘Green for Grain’ Forestry Engineering in Southwest Hubei Province

  • A comprehensive evaluation was made by AHP methodology on the ecological, economic and social benefits of six forest management models that were summarized from the ‘Green for Grain’ Forestry Engineering carried out in the southwest part of Hubei Province, i.e., Mangnolia officinalis + Indocalamus tessellatus, dense tea plantation, Cunninghamia lanceolata + Phyllestachys pubescens, Cunninghamia lanceolata + Alnus glutinosa, pure Toona sinensis plantation, and the pure Larix kaempferi plantation. The results showed that the comprehensive benefits of the six models were ranked in the order as Mangnolia officinalis + Indocalamus tessellates > dense tea plantation > Cunninghamia lanceolata + Phyllestachys pubescens > Cunninghamia lanceolata + Alnus glutinosa > pure Toona sinensis plantation > pure Larix kaempferi plantation.
