Effects of Mycorrhizal Fungi on Growth and Development of Dendrobium nobile type Seedlings

  • A test was conducted to inoculate different strains of endogenic fungi into the roots of potgrown Dendrobium nobile type seedlings with different inoculation time and different inoculation dosage of the fungi. The growth and development of the inoculated seedlings were observed afterwards. The results showed that the original fungal strains were isolated from the nutritious roots after having been inoculated, the increment rate of fresh weight of the inoculated seedlings were generally larger than those of the controls to some extent. The principal components analysis was applied to build the comprehensive evaluation model with morphological indices of the seedlings, the optimal treatment combination was screened to enhance the growth of the seedlings, i.e., strain 3# with 200 mL/L of inoculation dosage, the inoculation time was 15 days.
