Research on Application of UAV RS Techniques in Forest Inventories

  • Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) is a new type of remote sensing (RS) interface, which has been paid more attention in recent years. Based on the characteristics of UAVs, and integrated with GIS, GPS techniques, the application of the UAVs relevant technology to the second grade forest inventory was discussed. It was pointed out that there would be a very good prosperity for the UAVs technology to be applied into the precise classification survey of forest resources, forest pest monitoring and forest pest control.
