Distribution and Accumulation of Pb Element in the Natural Kandelia candel Communities in North Mangrove Forests

  • The distribution characteristics of Pb in the natural Kandelia candel communities of Fuding were investigated to study the absorption, distribution and accumulation of Pb element in the mangrove forests. The results showed that the Pb element contents in different organs of the Kandelia candel plants ranged from 745~11331 mg/kg, and the average Pb enrichment coefficient in the top soil was 0284. The pool amount of Pb in the top forest soil(0~30cm depth)was 9988 mg/kg, which preponderated over the 1st quality category for oceanic sedimentation set by the National Sea Environmental Quality Standard. The Pb element storage in the mangrove forest top soil(0~30cm)was 1407065mg/m2 and the current accumulation of Pb element in the mangrove communities was 40048mg/m2.
