Measurement and Analysis of Dynamic Stiffness of the Backbone System for AntiSeismic Demonstration House with BambooBased Structure

  • The frequency response function and the dynamic stiffness of the backbone pillar structure system of the aseismatic demonstration building with bamboobased structure built by Nanjing Forestry University were measured and analyzed by transient vibration knock experimental method according to the principle of structure dynamics. The safety evaluation of the dynamic stability of the bamboo building was made. The conclusion of the experiment was that the dynamic stiffness of the pillar structure system was large with little vibrational response, which meant the system would be less deformed under the unit force. The vibrational response would be the least when the driving frequency of the pillar backbone was equal to the maximum frequency value of its dynamic stiffness. The results showed that the pillar backbone structure was in accordance with the fundamental demand of wood structure building design, which would provide the design and application of the building with bamboobased structure with theoretical and practical reference.
