Effect of Fertilization and BRs Application on Leaf Nutrition and Plant Growth of ‘Ganwu’ Clone of Camellia oleifera

  • Taking chicken manure, compound fertilizer, bioorganic fertilizer, specialty fertilizer for camellia as basal dressing and BRs with different concentrations of 0067 mg/L, 0033 mg/L and 0020 mg/L as top dressing according to Split Plot Design method, a twoyear experiment was conducted by successive sampling survey at different growing stages and specific indexes measurement to study the effect of applying varied types of fertilizers and different concentrations of BRs on the growth of ‘Ganwu’ Clone of Camellia oleifera. The results obtained were as follows:The optimal height growth of ‘Ganwu’ Clone plants was acquired by applying the compound fertilizer plus spraying 0020 mg/L of BRs; the maximum increment of the crown amplitude was got by applying the specialty fertilizer plus spraying 0020 mg/L of BRs. The highest SPAD value was obtained by spraying 0033 mg/L BRs top dressing; the most increase of SPAD value was got by applying the specialty fertilizer plus top dressing with 0067 mg/L of BRs. The highest N content in the leaves was got by spraying 0067 mg/L of BRs without any fertilizer application, which was followed by applying the specialty fertilizer plus spraying 0020 mg/L of BRs. The highest P content in the leaves was obtained by applying organic fertilizer plus top dressing with 0020 mg/L of BRs; the highest K content in the leaves was realized by applying the compound fertilizer plus spraying 0020 mg/L of BRs; whereas the highest dry matter content of leaves was obtained by applying the specialty fertilizer plus top dressing with 0033 mg/L of BRs.
