Abstract
Five strains of cellulose degrading bacteria were isolated from the intestine of young bark beetle, and the activity of cellulase generated by these strains was determined by Dus cellulose selective medium on filter paper or absorbent cotton with CMC-Na as fermentation substrate. The results showed that HS-11-5 was the strain with the highest cellulase activity (32.62 U/mL), whose optimum cellulase producing conditions were as follows: 50h of fermentation; (NH4)2SO4 as nitrogen source; under pH value of 7.5-8.5 at 28-30℃; and 12%-16% as the medium loading proportion.
