Treatment Technology for Veneer Surface of Pinus yunnanensis by Air Dielectric Barrier Discharge Plasma

  • The best technology for Pinus yunnanensis veneer surface treatment with air dielectric barrier discharge plasma (DBDP)was studied by analyzing the gluing property and surface performance of the veneer after the treatment. The results showed that with the increase of processing power, the bonding strength of the veneer increased, the water contact angle reduced and the surface energy increased within the 1000-4000W power range. Whereas the change tendency of each index became reverse when the treatment power reached 5000W. Within 1-7 times of treatment, when the treatment times increased, the bonding strength of veneer increased, but the water contact angle reduced and the surface energy increased. When the processing times were between 9-11, each index changed reversely. When the power was 4000W, and the veneer was treated for 7 times, the surface modification effect was the best, whose bonding strength, surface water contact angle and surface energy was individually 21 MPa, 43°and 567 MJ/m2.
