Study on Versatility and Polymorphism of EST-SSR Application to Woody Plants

  • The EST (expression sequence tag) based simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers have been widely applied in plant related studies because of the easy and quick development properties. The practicability and versatility of EST-SSR techniques for woody plant species were briefly summarized. The polymorphism of EST-SSR and its application to evaluating the genetic diversity of woody plant species were reviewed to provide the EST-SSR relevant future research with references.
