Effect of Plant Growth Regulator Treatment on Rooting of Malus‘Hongying’ Softwood Cuttage Propagation

  • Taking semilignified cuttings obtained from 2yearold maternal trees of Malus ‘Hongying’ as experiment materials, the effect of different plant growth regulators including IBA, NAA, and IBA+NAA on the rooting was studied by using uniform orthogonal design L9 34. The results showed that the rooting type of Malus ‘Hongying’ tender cuttings mainly belonged to callus rooting, the treatment by plant growth regulators could significantly increase the rooting rate of the semilignified cuttings. The rooting promotion effect of NAA was better than IBA. The rooting rate reached 70 % when the semilignified cuttings were soaked by 1000 mg/L NAA for 5s.
