CLIMEX Based Prediction on Potential Distribution of Trypodendron domesticum in China and Its Risk Analysis

  • Trypodendron domesticum is a widely distributed hardwood pest in CentralNorthern Europe. It was reported recently that the pest had invaded into Canada and had been intercepted for times in China from the imported logs. The CLIMEX based analysis was conducted to predict the potential distribution area for the beetle in China. The results indicated that the climate in 19 provinces, municipalities or autonomous regions in China including Liaoning, Hebei, Henan, Beijing, Tianjin, Shandong, Shann′xi, Shanxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, Chongqing, Jiangsu, Anhui, Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi and Hainan was suitable for the development of T. domesticum (EI≥16). The comprehensive potential risk assessment of T. domesticum with multiple indexes showed that its comprehensive index value (R) was 2.14, indicating this was a quarantine pest with high risk level.
