Study on the Reconstruction and Ecological Restoration Techniques of Vegetation in HydroFluctuation Belt of the Three Gorge Reservoir

  • Based on the digital elevation model (DEM) and the gradient analysis map generated by using contour relief map of the studied area, the vegetation reconstruction and ecological restoration at the hydrofluctuation belt of the Three Gorge Reservoir located in Shibao Township of Zhong County was studied with assistance of GIS technology. The techniques of vegetation reconstruction and ecological restoration at the hydrofluctuation belt were experimented. The vegetation rebuilding by 15 tree species and the corresponding ecological restoration techniques at the hydrofluctuation belt were selected, which might be referred by the similar ecological restoration in the area of Three Gorge Reservoir.
