  • The chemical constituents of Chloranthus elatior plant were analyzed by means of chromatographic techniques and the chemical structure of these components was identified by spectral data and physicochemical properties of the constituents. Six compounds including 2- methoxy-3, 4-methylenedioxybenzaldehyde (Ⅰ), coniferylaldehyde (Ⅱ), epipinoresinol (Ⅲ), 4′,5,7-trimethoxyflavonol (Ⅳ), flavokawain A (Ⅴ), and 5-hydroxy-7,4′-dimethoxyflavanone (Ⅵ) were isolated from the plant species and identified by this study.
