Abstract
The correlations of topographic factors of the fireslash site to the germination, density and growth status of the Pinus densata seedlings in northwest Yunnan Province were studied. The results showed that the regeneration of P. densata on the fireslash sites was significantly influenced by the topographic factors. The aspect and the position on the slope had effect on seedling density, the gradient of the slope affected on the seedling germination time, while the elevation factor had a weak effect on seedling density. It was proposed that fireslash site regeneration of P. densata should be adopted conditionally, which should be applied only on the downhill sites or in the flat sites.
