Building of Digital Timber Specimens Retrieval System

A retrieval system was designed based on timber specimen to conduct fast timber retrieval according to different characteristics of the timber specimens. The retrieval system was based on ASP.NET MVC framework and ADO.NET technologies with threetier design solution, and the perceptual Hash algorithm was adopted to identify timber specimen images. The system displayed the search results and implemented data maintenance, statistic analysis, data dictionary checking of the timber specimen database, user management, mobile search functions by the mixed mode of tree form structure and pictures.
