Floristic Study on Seed Plants of Plateau Wetland in Shangrila County

  • The floristic characteristics of seed plants in the plateau wetland in Shangrila County of Yunnan Province were studied based on data surveyed in past years. The results showed that there was a rich plant species diversity, including 431 species belonging to 155 genera and 44 families in this area. The dominant families of plateau wetland plant species were distinct including Scrophulariaceae, Poaceae, Ranunculaceae, Polygonaceae, Umbelliferae families. The floristic feature of plateau wetland in Shangrila County was mainly influenced by temperate elements which were demonstrated at genus and species levels, while there was less impact from the tropical composition. The endemic species of China were very plentiful, which were closely linked with species from southwest China (Sichuan, Guizhou, Tibet). Relatively there were more exotic plant species, and the floristic secondary index ratio was high.
