Analyses on Growth Status of Nyssa yunnanensis Seedlings in Different Habitats

  • The growth status of Nyssa yunnanensis seedlings planted at Guanping and Jinghong areas under three types of habitat conditions was comparatively studied. In 2011, the average basal diameter and height of the seedlings planted in the forest gaps and the seedlings grown under the forest canopy in Guanping were 1.5cm,1.0cm,1459cm and 101.3cm respectively. Whereas the average basal diameter and height of the seedlings grown in Jinghong was 1.9cm and 121.5cm individually. The average basal diameter and height of the seedlings grown in the three plots by 2013 were 3.7cm/2996cm, 2.3cm/1954cm, and 55cm/381.3cm respectively. The results showed that the increment in the basal diameter and height of seedlings planted in Jinghong plot was the most, followed by the seedlings planted in the forest gap in Guanping, and that of those planted under forest canopy in Guanping was the least. The statistical analysis showed there were extremely significant differences among the growth indexes of the N.yunnanensis seedlings under the three types of habitat conditions by 2013.
