Analytical Hierarchy Process Based Aesthetic Evaluation of Plant Landscape in Foziyan Scenic Area

  • Based on the survey of all types of plant landscape at Foziyan Scenic Area in Zhenghe County, Fujian Province, an evaluation system consisting of 3 norms and 12 indexes including ornamental, scientific research, diversity properties for plant landscape and aesthetics of scenic spot areas was established by analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method.According to the comprehensive evaluation of the plant landscapein the scenic area by the appraisers, the aesthetic index of the plant landscape was figured out by integrating it with the aesthetic index calculation method of landscape. The results indicated that the weight value of plant landscape ornament was larger inside the norm B, which illustrated that the plant landscape of the Foziyan Scenic Area was beautiful. While the weight values of forest coverage, rare and precious species and that of the species diversity were large inside the norm C, illustrating that the plant species diversity was rich and the plant community structure was complex in the area. The aesthetic index of the plant landscape in this scenic area was 7.94, reaching a high level, which demonstrated that the plant landscape was of outstanding features with potential development value. Some suggestions on the development and utilization of plant landscape in the Foziyan Scenic Area were proposed to provide the future transformation, promotion and further planning and building of this scenic area with theoretical references.
