Analysis on Insect Fauna in Nangun River Nature Reserve in Yunnan Province

  • In order to reveal the insect fauna characters of Nangun River Nature Reserve in Yunnan Province, China, the insect species were collected and recorded through sampleplot and literature analysis methods. In total, 932 species belonging to 602 genera, 110 families, and 12 orders of Insecta were identified. The species distribution patterns and faunal composition were analyzed. The analyses showed that the insect fauna of the nature reserve possessed a typical Oriental character, which was most close to Palaearctic region, and the farthest from Neotropical region. Inside the zoogeographic districts of China, the insect fauna of the nature reserve expressed a typical character of Southern China region, which was the most close to the fauna of Central and Southwestern China regions, and the farthest from QinghaiTibet region
