Analyses on Chemical Constituents of Daphe holosericea

  • Column chromatography was applied to study the chemical constituents of Daphe holosericea, and 12 compounds were isolated from this plant species.The structures of the 12 compounds were identified as βsitosterol (1), 1hexadecanol (2), syringaldehyde (3), caffeic acid ndueicosanyl ester (4), βsitosteryl butyrate (5), apigenin (6), 4(ethoxy) benzoic acid (7), (2R, 3S)2hydroxy2,3bis(4hydroxy3methoxybenzyl)4butanolide (8), phydroxylbenzaldehyde (9), panisic acid (10), phydroxybenzoic acid (11), 2hexylidene3methylsuccinic acid (12) by the spectral analyses and the physicochemical properties. Compounds 2, 3, and 512 were isolated for the first time from this plant species.
