Effects of Temperature on Root Forcing and Budding Treatment of Lily Bulbs

  • Lily bulbs ‘Siberia’, ‘Sorbonne’, ‘Conca D′ or’were planted in the plastic box with peat moss, and then treated with 10℃, 12℃and 14℃ for inducing root and budding. Some bulbs were placed in greenhouse for control. After 14 days, fresh weight, length of buds, number of stemroots, rooting rates, diameter of buds were measured for analysis. The results showed that stemroots and buds formation of all three varieties bulbs after treated 14 days under 12℃ were the best, and had high uniformity.
