Fractal Characteristics of Crown Structure and Its Architectural Analysis in Melaleuca bracteata

  • In this paper,2year old Melaleuca bracteata were studied to analyze its fractal dimension of crown structure and branch system configuration, and then used Principal Component Analysis method on 9 branch department configuration indicators. Results showed that the fractal dimension of Melaleuca bracteata crown value was 057, crown site area was 018, and crown volume was 021 At the same time, in this stage, high growth was dominated, and all branches were growing, but the number of branch grade 4 was fewer Branche grade 1 was easier to translate into branch grade 2, while branch grade 2 translated into grade 3 and branch grade 3 translated into grade 4 were more difficult In the other hand, the contribution rate of the first principal component was 4037%; the second one was 2161%. The first and second Principal Components Analysis reflected the two species′ ecological adapted mechanism of Melaleuca bracteata, showing that the crown′s site, area, volume and branch trail value tended to increase, while overall points branch rate, and gradually points branch rate and branches inclination tended to reduce.
