Germplasm Resources Collection, Conservation and Evaluation of Paraserianthes falcataria

  • Based on introduction and conservation of germplasm resources of Paraserianthes falcataria for more than ten years, 32 superior germplasm resources from home and abroad were planted in germplasm repository. The results showed that the average height, average diameter at breast height and preservation rate of the 25yearold forest were 522m, 709cm, 8816%,respectively. There were highly significant differences in height, diameter at breast height and individual volume in different strains (P<001). According to the results of cluster analysis, the 32 strains were divided into 3 categories, theⅠcategory was the fastgrowing type, including CK、Y4、C2、Y3、Y7、C9、N2, which volumes were 152%-416% higher than the group average. With good hereditary basis and suitable stability, the Ⅰcategory have popularization and pplication prospects after test and verifying.
