Analysis of the Insect Richness in Nangun River Nature Reserve of Yunnan Province

  • In order to reveal insect diversity of Nangun River Nature Reserve, insect richness of the nature reserve was surveyed and analyzed through sampleplot survey and literature investigation methods. Totally, 934 species belonging to 604 genera, 110 families, and 12 orders of Insecta were recognized. Besides, 1order, 9 families, 127 genera, and 287 species are newly supplemented on the basis of former researchers. The species of Formicidae, Cicadellidae, Nymphalidae, and Termitidae were significantly enriched. The results of families and genera richness analysis showed that Lepidoptera>Coleoptera>Hemiptera>Hymenoptera. In species, Lepidoptera >Hymenoptera>Coleoptera>Hemiptera. There were relatively sufficient researches on Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, and Hemiptera of the nature reserve in the past. In contrast, the investigations of Diptera, Hymenoptera, Homoptera, Orthoptera, Isoptera and other small orders were obviously insufficient. Comparing with insect expedition results of Gaoligong Mountain Nature Reserve, Wenshan Nature Reserve, and Wuliang Mountain Nature Reserve, the insect richness of Nangun River Nature Reserve is on the top of numerous nature reserves in Yunnan Province.
