Study on Dormancy and Germination Technology of Taxus chinensis var. mairei seeds

  • The experiment was conducted to study the dormancy and germination characteristics of seeds of Taxus chinensis var. mairei. The results showed that the germination period of Taxus chinensis var. mairei seeds was 23d, and period of dormancy was long under natural conditions. The inhibitor content of fresh seeds was removed better after stratification,and after 130d stratification processed at 25℃conditions, and then again into 5℃, stratification processed for 80d in wet seeds sand, the eliminated effect of germination inhibitors was the best. Among, the ermination inhibit rate (W100) of seed leach liquor was decreased from 6489% to 851%, embryo long growed 042mm, and seed average germination was 76%.
