Abstract:
The data of 20 sample trees, obtained from the artifical Chinese
Crypto-meria (
Cryptomeria fortunei Hooibrenk ex Otto et Dietr.) stand of intermediate site in Hongya County of Sichuan Province, were analyzed to find out the quantitative relation between the dry weight of tree components and D. B. H,, or between D, B# and the total height. The prediction equations for estimating the dry weight of stem, foliage plus branchwood and root for an individual tree of
Cryptomeria fortunei were put forward. By using these equations, we estimated the total stand weight of the components and biomass in 16-to-lS-Year-old
Cryptomeria fortunei stand, and the result showed that the boimass and net production of arbor layer in the stand were 123.3-133.5 ton/ha and 7.71-7.42 ton/ha, yr respectively. The data have shown that the biological productivity of
Cryptomeria fortunei stand is equivalent to that in Cryptomeria japonica stand at the same age in Japan.
