Abstract: The forest of Parashorea chinensis var.kwangsiensis is distribution in Ancun village,Hekou County,Yunnan Province which is a karst area with higher temperature and humidity.The area is characterized by the limestone plants such as Burretiodendron hsiermu,Garcinia paucinervis,Cephalomappa sinensis and other plants.The result of the analysis on the synecology shows that the forest has its characteristics of the tropical monsoon rain forest.There are many rare valuable animals and plants in this area and its neighbouring area,but the forested area has become less and less.Therefore it is nacessary that a protection forest and sancturary in this area be established as soon as possible.
