Abstract: Baesd on the measurements of 177 temporary sample plots and 177 mean sample trees analysed, this paper deals with the relation between the volume growth percentage and the diameter at breast height in terms of site quality or site quality-density for Chinese Cryptomeria. Several simple formulas describing the relationship were obtained and used for the construction of volume growth percentage tables. These tables can be used to estimate the volume growth of stands of Chinese Cryptomeria(Cryptomeria fortunei Hooibrenk ex otto et Dietr).
