Abstract: Cyllorhynchices cumulatus is a serious pest on chestnut.This thesis system atically describes the relationship between the life history of Cyllorhynchices cumulatus and the phonology of chestnut as well as the spatial distribution of the adult Cyllorhynices and its application in production.The economic threshold of Cyllorhynchices cumulatus is determined as 0.12 insect per tree and simple suit control measures to local conditions are put forward.After control measures being taken in the wide forest areas in Xiaobaiyi and other places,the percentage of cut twigs dropped from 84% to 10%,the yield of chestnut increased by 2.4 times and the control result was good.
