Abstract: Up to now 1 60 species（includin9 67 localized specics）of acridod in-sects have been known from Yunnan Province. Most of them are Oriental species.THefamily Catantopidae and those grasshoppers with longwings are in the majority.It isshown by analysis that grasshoppers of Acridoidea in Yunnan represent diversity,particularity and ancient faunal character.
