Abstract: The Chamaecyparis lawsoniana Parl. was an excellent cultivar which waswidely used in gardens.In this paper the authors analysed several problems about growingseedlings by cuttings,the test result showed that the growing seedlings by cuttings can becarried out all the year round. After the same branches on the top 12~13 cm in lengthwere put into the liquid of 50~100×10^-6 NAA for one hour and then were put into themixture(perlite,bark and scraps of wood,peat from Dianchi Lake with the proportionof 2:1:1),the highest percentage of rooted cuttings was obtained.The rooting periodwas shortened when light intensity was increased.
