Abstract: Basedon theanalysis method of the sound transfer matrices,5 kinds of thesound transfer matrices of sound substructures of the restricting type exhaust mufflers ofinternal computer programs about characteristic analysis were worked out.The sound in-sertion loss of 2 kinds of muffler structures were calculated, and the calculation wasvalidated by the experiments.The results show that calculated values and measured valuescoincide well.
