Abstract:
This seeping resins of china fir caused by feeding of the initial instar larvae of Semanotus sinoauster(Gressitt.)and the resins drop indicated that the initial instar lavae existed.Therefore, resin drops could be assumed as the first stage of larvae of Semanotus sinoauster(Gressitt.).The authors studied the spatial distribution patern of the initial instar larvae of this insect and used the methods of frequency comparison, the aggregative index and the regressive analysis.It concluded that:the population was aggregated in various densities and following the negative binomical distribution made use of common k.
