Abstract: Yuanmou County belongs to the dry and hot area (Chinese Savanna) of Upper Yangtze Valley High temperatue, low rainfall, and dry and hot characteristics are major climate reasons that vegetation recovery and reforestation become difficult Choosing proper tree species and reforetation period to adapt Chinese Savanna climate conditions, reforesting with pot planting seedlings, and preparing the land for planting are main technical measures for overcoming bad enviromental conditions and increasing reforestation survival percent.
