Abstract:
A survey on the space distribution of the red panda (
Aliurus fulgens) wasconducted in the Gaoligong Shan Mountains. The data showed that the red panda inthis area distributed mainly in the bamboo forests between 3000~3300 m above sea level and had no obvious move with the season change. The frequency of the red panda's active trail was obviously correlated with the bamboo's height (R=-0.301, p<0.001),density (R=-0.159, P<0.005) and the outshoot (R=0.911, P<0.001) which were obvi ously above the bamboos.
