Abstract: To increase shoot and timber yield of Phyllostachys heterocycla var. pubescens stand, experiment of fertilizer application with different quantity was carried out in bamboo stands for both shoot snd timber uses with different site index.The result showed that shoot and timber yield increased, but overapplication would decrease the yield.Current annual application made significant difference of spring shoot yield, especially in the third year with the highest increment.In stands of different site index, the target input-output ratio of 7 500kg/hm 2 in corrie was 1:17.17 the highest, with high economic benefit.
