Abstract: There are 56 species and varieties of Clematis in Yunnan.Their habitats are divided into 4 types:subtropical forest type,warm temperate type,temperate forest type and extensive forest-edge type.According to the characteristics of their flowers and leaves,the Clematis in Yunnan can be divided into evergreen group,thin-sepal group and thick-sepal group.According to blooming periods,they are divided into 5 types:spring blooming type,spring-summer blooming type,summer blooming type,autumny blooming type,and winter blooming type.Some discussion and suggestiongs of further exploitation and utilization for the germplasm resources are given as well.
