Abstract: The quantitative thinning standard set by diameter at breast height for Picea asperata is compiled according to study on management activities of thinning in Danzha forest district.It is demonstrated by the experiments that satisfactory management effect and ecological benefits can be obtained by appropriate light thinning to regulate forest density,improve forest growth and to ameliorate ecological factors inside the forest stands.
