Abstract: An avian biodiversity in Yanbian County, Sichuan Province was surveyed with indexes of fauna composition, characteristic species, dominant species and common species, etc..It was indicated by the survey that there were 215 species of birds in this county, belonging to 39 families, 17 orders.Among there were 183 reproductive species;32 non-reproductive species;71 Palaeozoic-north Group species;111 East-Asian Group species and 26 vast-distributing species.3 species were class Ⅰwild birds protected by national laws and 17 species were class Ⅱnationally protected birds.The avian composition in varied habitats, community population and diversity were analyzed in the paper.
