Abstract: Pinus yunnanensis has wide distribution in southwestern China, which is the most important forest tree species in Yunnan Province. With combination of literature study and field investigation in the forest area, it was concluded that 164 species of pest insects of Pinus yunnanensis belonging to 26 families and 5 orders had been recorded, namely Hemiptera, Homoptera, Lepidoptera, Coleoptera and Hymenoptera separately. Taxonomic keys for these pest insects were provided. It was the first time that the bark weevil Shirahoshizo patruelis attacking Pinus yunnanensis was recorded.
