Abstract: An investigation was made on bryophyte resources in Longchuan region of Tongbiguan Nature Reserve, which is under the southern subtropical climatic conditions in Longchuan County, Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan Province, Totally 368 specimens of bryophytes were collected and 113 of them were identified, belonging to 101 species, 59 genera, 27 families, including 21 species, 10 genera, 8 families of liverworts, and 80 species, 49 genera, 19 families of mosses. Among these identified 22 species, 12 genera, and 1 family were newly recorded in Yunnan Province. It was proven by the study that there were plenty of bryophyte species in Longchuan area, many life-forms and community types of bryophytes and diversified substrates, on which the bryophytes survive, and there was wide distribution of the bryophytes that showed varied regional characteristics. There was no landscape of the mountainous bryophyte forests over 1 800m in elevation.
