Abstract: The growth pattern of height, DBH and stocking volume of Populus yunnanensis in Meigu County, Sichuan Province were researched. The results showed that Populus yunnanensis had strong adaptability. The average height of 25-year-old tree reached 29.56 m, with average DBH 49.4 cm and stocking volume 2.243 5 m³. Populus yunnanensis. grew comparatively slowly at the early ages, but the annual DBH and height growth rates achieved the peak values around the 10^th year. After that the annual DBH and height growth rates started to drop down but still maintained at high level. The annual stocking growth rate and the mean stocking growth rate kept increasing along with the age till 25 years old. The dynamic growth models of height, DBH and stocking volume of Populus yunnanensis were respectively formulated.
