Abstract: Xinping County, Yunnan Province is rich in profitable bamboo species, including Dendrocalamus giganteus, D.brandisii, D. latiflorus and D.sinicus. Investigation was conducted into the present development status of the bamboo industrialization and the corresponding countermeasures of further exploitation and utilization of local profitable bamboo species were put forward based on the fast development tendency and the recent low efficiency in resource utilization in the county.
