Abstract:
Peroxidase isoenzymes of 8 species in genus of
Keteleeria were analyzed by means of Disc polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. It was showed that each species had its specific zymogram and the differences in zymograms among the species were obvious. The similarity of zymograms of the 8 species was studied by systematic clustering method applied to quantitative analysis. According to the zymograms, the 8 species might be classified into 3 groups and 6 species, by which 2 pairs of 2 species were merged respectively into 2 species. GroupⅠincluded
Keteleeria fortunei and
Keteleeria cyclolepis. Group Ⅱ contained
Keteleeria davidiana and
Keteleeria calcarea. The third group comprised
Keteleeria evelyniana and
Keteleeria xerophila. It was proposed that
Keteleeria davidiana var.
chien-peii should be merged with
Keteleeria davidiana, and
Keteleeria evelyniana var.
pendula should be merged with
Keteleeria evelyniana. It was deduced that
Keteleeria xerophila might be an ecotype of
Keteleeria evelyniana. The results from peroxidase isoenzyme experiment verified at molecular level the consanquineous relations among the species in genus of
Keteleeria.
