Abstract: Computation of the longitudinal section design of highways is one of the major design computation tasks for highway survey and design. Computation of the longitudinal section design can be completed by fx-4800 p programming calculator according to the present technical level and equipment conditions for road survey design at county or township levels in China. This computation method is characterized to be simple and convenient for application, fast to operate, low in cost, and easy to operate, which may promote work efficiency of the survey and design workers, and reduce their labor intensity.
