Abstract:
The paper studied the decomposition of litter-fall and its nutrient dynamics of
Dendrocalamopsis vario-striata bamboo forest in coastal sandy area of Fujian Province. The results showed that the litter weight reduced fast at the beginning and slower later on, while the weight reduction of branches and shoot hull showed the fast-slow-fast rhythm. The decomposition rate of leaf was the fastest, the decomposing rate of branch and shoot hull was almost alike. During the decomposition and litter weight reduction process, the concentration of N and P in the litter material showed an increase-decrease-increase change tendency, while K element loss was intensive at the early stage, gently at mid-stage, and slightly faster at late stage. The mobility order of N, P, K elements in the litter decomposition process appeared to be K > N > P.
