Abstract: The distribution of Dendrolimus houi in Yunnan Province is very extensive and its damage to pine forests is very severe.Base on the literature from 1999 to 2007,the research advances on D.houi were systematically summarized from the aspects of bio-ecological characteristics,nutrition value,forecasting technique and damage control in Yunnan Province.
