Abstract: Beihai Wetland Nature Reserve is situated the Beihai township in the northeast of Tengchong County,Yunnan Province.The Participatory Rural Appraisal(PRA) method was adopted to study the community co-management in the reserve area.The current status of the community co-management,challenge and the threats from adjacent communities on the nature reserve were analyzed.Then the measures for further community co-management plan were discussed in terms of the mechanism to deal with community public relations,introduction of incentive mechanism and the strengthening of self-development.
