Abstract: Emphasis on the ecological responsibility taken by government in the process of building new countryside has the following importance: embodying the essence of the service-oriented government and the sustainable development theory;rational reflecting of the relationship between man and nature;objective demanding for improving ecological environment status in the rural areas.It was proposed that local government should try hard to take the responsibility for environment protection,establish the concept of ecological civilization,change the development model of agricultural economy,improve the agricultural law and regulation system and promote the level of agricultural technology.
